Design

There is no other backpack that looks like this out there. It is unique to Point 65.

Chest Strap — Connects in the middle. Adjustable, can slide up and down. Not removable.

Waist Strap — 2″ thick and connects in the middle. Adjustable. Removable.

Interior

There are a lot of interior organization pockets.

Pockets and Organization

Hydration Reservoir Slot — Fits a 2L hydration bladder. Hydration bladder is sold separately.

Laptop Slot — To test what would fit, a 15″ MacBook Air, 15″ MacBook Pro, and a 16″ Samsung Laptop fit into the slot easily. It has a velcro to secure it from sliding out of place.

No Side Pockets.

Compartment for Cargo — The cargo area is relatively “flat”. You can fit your laptop, a change of clothes, and essentials.

How It Feels

The backpack is comfortable and feels like you are wearing a protective shield on your back. It sits flush on your back and once you get on the road, you hardly notice it is there.

Aerodynamics — It feels aerodynamic from upright to full tuck. We have tested it up to 120 MPH, and not feel any wind buffeting.

Ergonomics — The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable based on the rider’s preferences. No quick release buckle as seen in the OGIO Mach 3 and Mach 5 models.

Key Features:

  • Ultimate protector for spine and pack contents
  • CE Level 2 back protection
  • High impact ABS shell
  • Ergonomic ventilated foam back panel
  • Aerodynamic dome top cover
  • Waist belt attachment
  • Stabilizing hip padding
  • Detachable phone pocket

Overall Customer Experience

Thanks for reading our review so far, if you want to check out the Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L Backpack with the best prices and super fast delivery click here go through to Amazon.com

This backpack retails at $379.99. If you live in Los Angeles, at 10%, that will run approximately $417.98—quite a bit to invest in for a backpack, especially if there aren’t that many reviews out there on it. Most people will likely purchase this backpack on a personal recommendation or for a heavy importance on protective gear. Looking at Amazon this backpack has 12 reviews at 4.2 out of 5 stars. At Revzilla, it has only 1 review at 5.0 out of 5 stars. So while there aren’t a lot of reviews, the ones who review it have great things to say.

Who Should Buy The Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L Backpack

CE Protection – This is the only backpack on the market that has an approved level 2 CE certification. The spine protection certification and requirements are only valid in CE and TUV acknowledging countries. The certificate does not apply to the United States market. For those who do not know, CE is a European safety rating, which is generally higher than the United States standards.

Adventure Athletes – If you prefer to travel in a tucked position at higher speeds, it will work. If you enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, or any activity where you could hurt your back…this is a solid backpack.

Money to Spare — Maybe you just have extra money and want to collect a unique backpack. This will do the job.

Who Should Not Buy The Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L Backpack

Commuters and Students — While you can fit a change of clothes and some basic on the go necessities, this has limited storage space for extra books and study materials. You will not be able to fit more than a light change of clothes and your laptop. Plus, it is heavy all by itself, so add on the extra weight of your belongings, it will put some serious strain on your back. As a test, we wore it for about an hour with a 15″ MacBook Air walking around Target to see how it would feel afterwards. It felt secure and required little to no effort to keep on back. However, if you’re walking around a full day on campus, it’s not really the ideal pack.

Final Thoughts on Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L Backpack

To recap, the Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L is the smaller of two sizes in Point 65’s top of the line GTX product line. Instead of the bungee closure system at the top seen in the GT model, it has a ratchet clip system.

The backpack is focused on offering CE safety in addition to any armored gear you are already wearing. It is aerodynamic, comfortable, fits securely and feels like a turtle shell. Your helmet may hit the top of the backpack at times in full tuck, however, it can easily be avoided by being mindful. In addition, it looks super cool and unique.

Where To Buy Point 65 Boblbee GTX 20L Backpack

It is sold new at Amazon.com for as low as $250 and also at Revzilla for full retail price of $379.99. In addition, get free shipping thru Amazon Prime. Comparatively, the price is much less at Amazon. You can also take advantage of grabbing some ZillaCash at Revzilla.com if you purchase there. We have seen the price fluctuate quite a bit, leaning more towards price increases. So if you see a backpack on the lower end of pricing, definitely pick it up as it could easily be $100 more the very next day.

Similar to the OGIO No Drag Mach series, these backpacks are quite expensive. While you will be able to hold a decent amount of personal belongings inside, the product is engineered with an emphasis on safety.
